Our Parent Squad Makes the Operations of the League Run!
LTJBSA Parent Squad Committees are a great way for volunteers who don't wish to coach to get involved in the operations of the league. Committee schedules are built for busy adults, with most coordination between members happening over email or video chat with minimal in-person requirements.
Here are our current Parent Squad committees. To join one, email [email protected]. You will also need to complete our Volunteer Registration & Background Check process.
🔴 Events & Promotions Committee
Purpose: Create, plan and promote the League’s special events throughout the year, including working with the Fundraising Committee to integrate our sponsors. Example activities are planning the Opening Day Parade; running our Swap Day; scheduling Friday Night Lights guests and activities; and creating special events, such as Movies in the Park or Trenton Thunder Night.
🔴Fundraising Committee
Purpose: Secure sponsors to support the League’s operating budget throughout the year. Prepare grants and create capital campaigns to help with longer term improvements to our fields and facilities.
🔴Grounds & Facilities Committee
Purpose: Ensure our facilities remain in playing shape throughout the season, including advising the League President on potential weather-related cancellations. Research, recommend, and purchase practice, maintenance or other equipment needed for the League.
🔴Rules & Player Development Committee
Purpose: Regularly review the League curriculum, set expectations for player ability at each age group, and establish rules by division that are age-appropriate. Create and/or recommend training and development materials for players and coaches
🔴Volunteer Committee
Purpose: Engage our community to find more volunteers to help our League in any capacity they are able. Connect those who wish to donate time with appropriate opportunities within the League.
